THE PHILADELPHIA GRID PROJECT ©

The Philadelphia Grid Project is a long term project which will photographically document the City of Philadelphia. Each month we will set out, individually, to photograph a pre-assigned area of the city. The subject matter is of your choosing. The only requirement is that the photograph must be made within a pre-assigned geographic location. The following month, the group will assemble with the results of its’ efforts and select one image per photographer to be added to the archives.

The “grid concept” was born in Portland, OR and operates under the title of the Portland Grid Project. I learned about it from a good friend and member M. Bruce Hall. I immediately thought, what a fantastic way to organize the photographic documentation of a city.

I have posted some of my Grid Project images in the portfolio section of my web site. If you would like to see all the images created by the Grid's members please follow this link  Philadelphia Grid Project Images.

We have reached the targeted number of photographers. If you would like to be contacted as space opens up please send an email with your contact information.    Email
